油箱设计应考虑有合理的容积,能保证泵在正常的油温下工作,充分考虑地区不同和工作性质差异,必要时应加冷却和加热装置。油箱进气口应装有空气过滤器,其余部分须密封,以免灰尘进入油箱,箱内应设置隔板来消除回油时带来的气泡,隔板上装有80目滤网。液压系统应在回油部分设置10μ~20μ的精滤器,以维持系统油液清洁。(泵泄漏油管不准装精滤器,以免使壳体腔压力增大,造成骨架密封处漏油。)

液压泵长期使用,内部零件(柱塞、分油盘、调节套筒、导向杆等)磨损而使间隙增大,在正常情况下,磨损比较缓慢。如果油液不清洁,含有杂质、水分而使零件之间的油膜和受到破坏,或者油墨变质、温度升高而是润滑性变差,磨损就会加剧。

大家知道,铜现在已成为一种贫缺材料资源,在机械设计中少用或不用铜材已经是一个基本用料原则。在配油机构中少用或不用铜的材料偶中,是以铸铁或CuFe粉末冶金材料来代替,另外还有在配油盘表面需涂贴一层耐磨塑料作为软质材料。在小功率液压泵中,还出现用石墨作为软质材料制作配油盘。实验结果指出,在配油机构的软对硬材料偶中,硬质材料的磨损反而要比软质材料快2~3倍。所以,为了使硬质材料具有高的耐磨性能和抗咬合能力,都会进行热处理至高硬度HRC>60,或采用氮化钢,如38CrMoAl钢,经过氮化处理。为了保持钢制配油盘的平面在使用过程不发生瓢曲、变形,热处理后还须经过冷处理和时效处理,以稳定起金相组织,消除多余应力。对于青铜制的缸体配油表面,有时为了改善其跑合性,或者选择镀很薄一层耐磨性腐蚀材料,如底层镀铅,上层镀铟,或只镀一层铅等方式。
