• The length of the mounting channel.

• The dimensions of the fastening holes of the mounting rails.

Table 1 shows the mounting channels available for the ET 200M.

Note
Unlike the other mounting channels, the 2-meter mounting channel has no fastening holes. You have to drill them. This permits you to adapt the 2-meter mounting rail perfectly to your application.

Bus module width
You place the interface module on the first bus module mounted on the ET 200M mounting channel. The interface module can be placed on the following bus modules:

• BM PS/IM (article number: 6ES7195-7HA00-0XA0)

• BM IM/IM for the redundant configuration (article number: 6ES7195-7HD10-0XA0)

You mount the bus modules for the IO modules to the right of the BM PS/IM or BM IM/IM. There are two versions for this:

• for two 40 mm wide IO modules (article number: 6ES7195-7HB00-0XA0)

• for one 80 mm wide IO module (article number: 6ES7195-7HC00-0XA0)

All bus modules are 80 mm wide.

You can mount one interface module on a BM PS/IM, for example IM 153-4 PN. If you mount two bus modules for 40 mm wide IO modules and two bus modules for 80 mm wide IO modules to the right of the BM PS/IM, you can also mount in addition to the interface module four 40 mm IO modules and two 80 mm wide IO modules.

Sample configuration for an ET 200M with a 530 mm wide mounting channel
On a 530 mm wide ET 200M mounting channel you can mount a maximum of six 80 mm wide bus modules. This means

• one BM PS/IM or one BM IM/IM

• max. five bus modules for IO modules

Sample configuration for an ET 200M with a 620 mm wide mounting channel
On a 620 mm wide ET 200M mounting channel you can mount a maximum of seven 80 mm wide bus modules. This means
