该模型tx31是一个模拟的，孤立的双线头安装温度变送器将热电偶输入电压，这是由热电偶传感器，线性生成的，和高度的4至20 mA输出电流。
发射器是在各种应用中，如过程控制，自动化系统，与能源管理。该tx31由粗范围设置DIP开关阵列的方式进行，和2多圈电位器（零和跨度）进行后的调整。
