主要可以用于操作温度较低的某些干燥物料，如含有溶剂的干燥或作为预热的辅助性热源，通过换热的形式能使干燥介质达到5～9℃的温度。电电能主要用于小型干燥器或要求控制标准很高的场合。电能通过电热管转换成热能，用以加热干燥介质。电能是*能源，无任何污染问题，可以单独作为一种热源，也可以与其它换热设备一起作为二级加热设备。但使用电加热器时注意热空气的出口温度好不要过35℃，否则可能会烧坏电热管，电线的结点处也容易熔断。
